The Treatment

The acne treatment will be personalized to your individual acne concerns. However, it may involve cleaning to remove buildup on the skin, exfoliation to remove congestion, extractions to remove blackheads and whiteheads, the application of treatments to kill bacteria and decrease cystic acne, and moisturizing to help keep the skin hydrated.

Recovery

While there is no downtime required following the acne facial, you may experience mild redness or sensitivity for a few days after, depending on the steps performed. Be sure to avoid picking at your skin or using abrasive exfoliators for 72 hours after treatment, avoid direct heat and sunlight for 48 hours after treatment, and refrain from alcohol consumption and smoking for 72 hours after. For prolonged results, patients may need to undergo a series of acne facials.
