Your Guide to Fillers and Injectables at Results Medical Aesthetics

Posted on December 04, 2021

Injectable dermal fillers are gel-like compounds used to repair volume loss, reduce lines and wrinkles and augment face features.

More than a million men and women a year choose this common face rejuvenation therapy because it may help them appear years younger without spending much money or requiring any recovery time.

Where Can Fillers Be Most Effective?

Deeper wrinkles, such as frown lines, neck bands and crow’s feet, are best addressed with fillers. You may use them to provide volume to your lips, cheeks, hands and feet to reduce wrinkles and stiffness.

So, What Can You Hope to Happen?

Depending on the area that is being treated and the filler utilized, filler operations might take 15 minutes to an hour.

Injecting a tiny needle into the afflicted area is a typical therapy; it is quick and harmless but uncomfortable.

Some fillers include lidocaine, which may be administered topically or with cold packs to make the procedure more pleasant.

After your appointment, you may leave and resume your normal activities. You may feel discomfort and swelling afterward, but it will lessen in a few days.

After treatment, avoid extreme temperatures for a week and prevent facial flexing and other quick motions.

What Are Some of the Procedures?

Botox

Botox for lines, wrinkles and dark circles is a popular and safe treatment. Micro-needling with neurotoxin is used to eliminate moderate to severe lines and wrinkles. The neurotoxin also reduces the appearance of dark circles under the eyes.

This therapy must be repeated every three months.

Xeomin

Xeomin (also called Xeomin 1) is an injectable toxin that often gives patients instant results. A more gradual improvement may be seen in Botox, but Xeomin offers to cross-link and a more immediate tightening effect than Botox.

Bellafill

Bellafill, previously Artefill, was the first injectable filler with five-year results and was approved by the FDA in 2015 for smile lines and acne scars.

Voluma

Voluma, or hyaluronic acid in a concentration of 20mg/ml, is used to correct moderate to severe volume loss in the mid-face and is injected into two separate areas on either side of the nose. The process takes only a few minutes and the results are nearly instant.

Volbella

Volbella, or Deoxycholic Acid, is a non-animal hyaluronic acid dermal filler for mouth wrinkles. Combining it with Juvederm improves outcomes.

Vollure

Vollure is a new filler that treats under-eye hollowing and moderates severe lines. The substance is pre-cured and takes effect instantly.

Revanesse Versa

Revanesse Versa is a new filler used to treat volume loss in the lips and folds around the mouth.

Sculptra

Sculptra Aesthetic fills under-eye hollowing, lip folds and cheek hollowing. The body absorbs the chemical over time. Sculptra Aesthetic takes months but increases collagen production in the skin for a younger look.

Kybella

Kybella reduces double chin. The chemical reduces chin fat and slims the face.

As supported by Lakefront Wellness Centre, fillers are a safe and effective approach to removing wrinkles and other skin flaws. Dermal fillers made from biocompatible ingredients are entirely absorbed by the body and have no negative effects.
